Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role
This role is permanent, location can be flexible for the right person and reports to the Director Ākonga Māori. You will lead, coach, model and support staff to be skilledu evaluators who deliver high quality evaluation of schools, including the evaluation of teaching and learning through the provision of te reo Māori in rumaki and bilingual units.
You will support the Director Ākonga Māori to develop, implement, and monitor strategies that respond to the increased demands in the education sector related to Māori achieving as Māori in English medium schools. You will ensure delivery of a programme (portfolio) of reviews scheduled in accordance with national priorities to drive educational improvement and achieve ERO's goals.

- Your experience as a successful school principal or senior education
- Your knowledge and experience, or willingness to learn about Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga Māori, te reo Māori and te ao Māori.
- Your experience working in Māori immersion settings in English medium schools
- How you've demonstrated, encouraged, or supported diversity and inclusion in or outside of work.
- Where you've demonstrated leadership in a time of change g. Led by example, demonstrated problem solving, owned a project or piece of work, used positive influence to bring about improvements to practice
- Where you've collaborated with others to achieve an improvement goal, and invited feedback, spent time with diverse people and communities to broaden your
- Where you have empowered and supported others to enhance the capabilities required in their current roles and to effectively deliver on their work priorities
- Your understanding of the machinery of government and related processes and
